aluna is my biodesign concept: a living, regenerative whole-eye lens applied as a fine mist from a seed-shaped porcelain vessel. To bring this vision to life, I developed the entire concept using cutting-edge AI tools, bridging ancient botanical wisdom with a futuristic minimalist aesthetic.

The inspiration came directly from my transformative visit to the pueblo of Tungueka in Dibulla, La Guajira, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, where dark volcanic coastal sands meet mountain jungle mist. Drawing from ancestral indigenous plant remedies of the Sierra traditionally used for eye vitality and UV shielding, aluna settles over the entire eyeball into a sleek, dark liquid-obsidian alien almond-shaped membrane that doubles as a seamless AR and VR wearable tech display. The world of aluna extends into its sonic ecosystem, featuring traditional Colombian gaita flutes and custom ambient instruments carved directly from the medicinal plant materials and resin tears of the research.
